Riedesel Johannes [Male] b. 22 APR 1766 Winnen - d. 11 NOV 1828 Leidenhofen

He served in the Regiment Kurfürst until about 1805 and reached the rank of corporal. Johann Heinrich is described as a tailor in later documents. The house was numbered #24 in Leidenhofen.

He presumably died some time between 1869 and 1875. I can find no records however. They lived in her family home of "Hohmanns" although he is described as being a forester in Petersgrund.

Born in Bergmanns/Gabels Haus in Wunderthausen. It appears that she as a twin according to my very best source. She is absent, though, from other transcriptions I have from the Wunderthausen records. Came to the U.S. in 1867 as a passenger on the ship Albert out of Bremen It landed in New York May 10, 1867. Also on board was her future husband and several others with recognizable Wittgenstein names. She and a younger sister were both christened "Anna Elisabeth." I think she was the one called Elisabeth.
