- John Albert (1848-1932) was born to L. Henry and Amalia Riedesel in Ohio. He moved on to the high plains of Colorado. This photo shows the family of John Albert about 1900
- Frank John (1877-1936) was the second son of John Albert. This shows his family in 1929.
- John and William M. Riedesel, sons of Frank John, as young boys
- Albert W. (1880-1955) was the third son of John Albert. This is a photo of his rock house near Idalia, CO, built in 1898.
- This photo shows the J. Franz Homrighausen family about the 1890s. One daughter died in childhood.
- Portraits of Anna and Franz were found not that long ago in an old outbuilding at Wheatland. They were not dated but I would guess they are earlier than the above family photo.

- George, Henry, and Fred Riedesel came to the U.S. at various times and lived in different places. This photo was taken in 1906 or later.
- This picture shows George, his wife, and most of their children. All came from Germany to America.

- Immigrant Henry Riedesel (b. 1834) had a son, Philip Henry (b. 1859) who married Ida Ristine. This shows the four children of Henry and Ida, Phillip, Ethel, Flora, and Henry

- Their second oldest son was George L. (1867-1916). This photo is probably from the 1890s.
- George L. married Emma Franey.
- I know that Johann Daniel Riedesel lived in Rochester, but not much more.

- This sketch shows John/Johannes Riedesel and his wife Caroline Knebel.
- Their only child to live a long life was Katherine. She married Edward Rieso, and they are shown together in this portrait.
From Försters hinter der Huthe in Wunderthausen (Georg Ludwig, Henry, and Elisabeth)
- Henry Riedesel (1865-1932) came to the U.S. in 1881 and lived at Wheatland with his wife, Emma Puetsch. They had no children.
- His brother Georg Ludwig (known as George or Louie) lived in Denver, Iowa, with his family.
- Sister Elisabeth Riedesel (1861-1948) married Monroe Daniels, and moved to Florida.
From Wetzels in Wunderthausen (Anna "Riddle")
- Anna Catherine Riedesel (1815-1909) came to the U.S. in 1837 and lived in the Oxford, NJ, area. Like her future husband, her last name morphed into Radle and then Riddle. She may have been known in this country as Mary.
From Diedenhofen, Lothringen (now part of France: John Henry, Peter, Marie, and Luise
- This photo shows John Henry as a young man living in Frankfurt/Main.
- John Henry Riedesel married Emma Jacobson in the early 1900s. They were in America by 1915. Many descendants of John Henry and Emma live around Westfield, NY.
- The eight children of John Henry and Emma are pictured here in 1965.
- Sister Marie married Adam Zehner. This shows her in 1896 at about 16 years of age
- Their niece, Marie Luise Riedesel, lived briefy in the U.S. with her parents around 1900. She came back to marry and live in 1922.
From Erndtebrück: Carl and Louise; August and Ludwig
- Carl Riedesel came from Erndtebrück, a larger town in Wittgenstein, and settled in Crookston, Minnesota. This photo of his family is from the late 1920s.
- Louise Riedesel was the younger sister of Carl. She married John Pieper and eventually lived in Nordheim, Texas. This photograph shows the Pieper family, probably in the 1890s.
